WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?
When you purchase something from our website, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. When you browse our webstore, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system. How do you get my consent? When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card and place an order, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only. DISCLOSURE & OPERATIONAL DATA SHARING
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties or marketing agencies. We disclose or share your personal and demographic information only under the following strictly defined operational circumstances:
- Training Center & Certification Platforms (American Heart Association and/or Health & Safety Institute): Student names, demographic details, contact information, unique email addresses, and completion metrics are entered into official training management databases, including AHA and HSI portals. This data is required to:
-Assign and distribute online learning key codes and blended learning modules
- Process, issue, and maintain official digital certification cards (eCards)
- Allow authorized training center administrators, instructors, and students to search, verify, and retrieve certification history records within these platforms. (Due to security and verification protocols established by AHA and HSI, each student must register with a unique, individual email address; only one eCard profile can be linked per email.)
- Sponsoring School or Employer: For institutional partnerships or company-sponsored training, compliance rosters, completion status and eCard copies are shared directly with your school's designated Program Director, Clinical Coordinator, or Employer.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your personal information if required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions. For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.
